Fire Season

My husband was dispatched to a fire assignment in New Mexico for two to three weeks. I love my husband's job and I'm proud of him. It's just that during Summer time when the kids are out of school, he's barely home too. When it's Summer, it is a fire season. No matter how they tied to prevent fires by educating the people with Fire Prevention Awareness, there are still fire accidents because of the very hot weather accompanied by the strong wind. But I'm just glad that he's not working in companies that engaged with asbestos because most likely they can get a lung cancer or asbestos related cancer called Mesothelioma. In fact, because of the growing numbers of these cases, you can get a lawyer easily who has a thorough knowledge of this situation. In my husband's case, my only concern is when he's fighting fire, he can smell the smoke and it's not good for him.

      In this time where knowledge and technology plays vital role in our daily life, inventors and manufacturers never ceased improving the quality of their product. Their mission is to provide and give their customers complete satisfaction. So we can observed that from time to time there are new model and design. To mention a few is the invention of house hold appliances, as the invention of television. At present, new model of television is being adapted by many customers because of its advantages. Even in Homes outdoor, offices and convention halls, Flat screen TV mount is being preferred because it can be installed anywhere in a vacant spaces in wall and ceiling. During Christmas, we are very busy thinking about gifts. What would be the best gift to give to someone who is very dear to us? Last Christmas, my students gave me a photo Christmas card where they put my picture at the center of the card and  each one of them put their dedication in the card. I was really touch because though it is simple yet their effort is priceless .

My friend Jim was looking up positives and negatives for DIRECTV vs Dish . He found some interesting information that helped him make a decision. He said he had heard a few different people talk about both at work and school events for his kids. He asked me, but I really did not know enough to give an educated opinion on the matter. I told him it seemed like someone at a basketball game or at lunch at work would be better informed than me if they were already chatting about it. I think he was just looking for someone he trusted to give an opinion, but sometimes I think perfect strangers give the best opinions since they do not have any real biases. I guess his kids had been asking about the TV service because they were having some problems with it. After looking up DirecTV and Dish, he ended up changing to DirectTV. He said it seemed like more bang for the buck. Now, he keeps telling me I should switch, too. Maybe I will, but I have to consult with the Misses first!

Careful

I just sat down on my chair this morning when my co-teacher came into the faculty. As she entered, my other co-teacher ask her what happen to her last December for there was something bad happen to her. So, I ask about what is it, then she story to us that she was robbed by two men while she was riding in a tricycle early in the morning. She was punched on her arm for how many times while the other was holding her neck and keep on getting her bag. But, with the formidable spirit that she had, she fought back really tried to find ways to escape as the tricycle was keep on moving. She punched back and jumped off from the tricycle. The robbers were able to get her things but atleast nothing worst than that happen to her that can cause her lives. So be careful always everyone.

It was last year when my cousin bought a Home theater set as a birthday gift for my aunt. I really like it since I am fond of playing loud music especially when I am alone at home or I am doing something. I also love to sing even though my voice is not so good. It just stopped when the flood hit our place because during that time I just pulled off everything that is being connected so that our home theater to be saved. After that incident, we started to put things in place. As try to used our home theater I found out the audio and video cables that connects the Television to the DVD player as well as the wires that connects to the speaker were destroyed. It was all cut in between. So, I decided to look for an audio and video cables on the net that is long lasting and high quality  audio and video cables

Video  cables are cables which used for transmitting video a signal from one source to other. There are also reasons in using different cables just like Improving contrast ratio , Running cables longer, Getting less video distortion, Creating improved colors. Meanwhile the audio cables used to send  audio Cd sound to the sound card. Audio speaker cable conducts audio signals from the amplifier output to the speaker input. Speaker cable uses non-braided wire made from conductive metals such as copper or aluminum.

Christmas Celebration

One of the most important holidays of the year and of course my  most awaited day had passed and it was "CHRISTMAS". But then, it could still not stop me from reminiscing how wonderful it is to celebrate Christmas in the Philippines. It has been said that we have a longest Christmas season because of  that what  we call "BER" months. This Months starts from September until December. As early as this months, you could already hear Christmas songs being played on the radio, Christmas trees displayed on the malls, Christmas lights on every houses and hearing people talking about Christmas. Decors are already starting to sprout up or sold for the buyers who are starting to shop around for Christmas. Christmas gifts are already on display in various stores around the country. We also had this tradition which we called "Misa De Gallo" (Dawn Mass) which starts from December 16  up to December 24, this 9 day novena usually happens at around 4:00 am in the morning and they said that if you were able to complete the 9 days, your wish will be granted, but sad to say I wasn't able to complete it. We also have Christmas parties everywhere, well, that is one of our traditions. The food were also delicious. Each family really tried their very best to have something on thier table as they wait for Christmas. Lastly, the caroling where lots of Children are going around the houses to sing Christmas song. It was so funny listening to them even though they were not able to say the lyrics correctly but at least they were in tune. That is CHRISTMAS here in the Philippines.

My Home

I love knowing that the house is my domain – my husbandworks every day to make sure we’ve got enough money coming in but for me, I love being at home making sure the house is being taken care of the way I see fit. I love being with the kids while they’re home but it’s nice to be able to contribute In certain ways, too. I recently went to HomeSecurityFamily.COM to look into an alarm for the house and I also thought about getting a maid to come in a few times a week. Some people say they can’t understand that because I’m here all day but I can’t do it all myself between taking care of the kids, being their round the clock chauffeur and making all the meals for everyone, you know? I love being the woman of the house and the authority it gives me and I know my husband appreciates all the work I do around here. That’s what makes it worth it at the end of the day.

Odd

Isn't it something, my aunt passed away on the 31st of December, the same date when my grandma passed away years ago. And they also have the same birthday. I remember that we used to celebrate togetehr. And one more thing they looked identical. I think her passing is affecting me so bad because, she's the one who reminded me of my grandma because to be honest, a part of me haven't move on since my grandama died. I feel like I'm losing my grandma forever. All I have is her memories. But I'll be fine, we will all be.

Friend Knows Everything

My friend is the wisest person I know. While I know that is an interesting comment to make about someone, it is true. She is always finding the best of everything. She knows when to buy the right stock and when to sell it. She knows what companies have low energy rates in texas. She even knows what banks are the best to have savings accounts in. I know a lot of this just requires research, but I don’t have the time to figure it out. I actually don’t know when she has the time either, but she does. She is able to raise four kids, have a full time job and still know everything about anything. It is amazing how learned she is. I want to compliment her on all she does and knows, but sometimes I think it would come out a little weird. She has become a great friend and mentor and I look up to her more than she will ever know. Maybe one day I will be as wonderful as her, but until then I will just continue to watch her in awe.

One of the things that I love about the show It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia is that the story lines are always a little shocking it's rare that I'll watch an episode and not be shocked by something that the characters say or do. But I guess that's more how that show works out and that's a big reason why I love it. I'm so tired of regular old sitcoms that rely on standard structures for that type of a show. It's Always Sunny is really working out that way for me and giving me something fresh and new to watch. It really helps because I get so bored with TV shows.
I was reading up on the new season with my wirless internet Seattle a while back when I saw all the info on Mac's weight gain. I thought at first that he was wearing special effects makeup to make him look like he gained 50 pounds. But he actually did gain 50 pounds!
That was so shocking to me, but I guess that just goes along with why I love the show. Never would I have imagined that his character, who's obsessed with round-house kicks and karate chops, would gain all that weight.

Being A Filipino

I wonder how the typhoon shape the Filipino.Just last sep.2009, Phillipines was hit by worst typhoon that killed almost 300 people ,thousands became homeless and lived in a temporary shelter. But the Filipinos still stand and fight for survival. That's a Filipino spirit. Because of that it makes us unique from the other races even in the worst moment of our life we still have time to laugh and smile.

The After Work Board Meeting

After a full day of rushing to meetings and returning calls, it's hard for me to try and remember to do anything once I get home. Thankfully my dog Smudge is quick to remind me I have one more thing on my agenda, and at least his barking is better than seeing Outlook pop up again. Smudge is a mix of Labrador and Chow, and he really seems to enjoy our evening walks. He practically bolts out of the house and yelps impatiently while I lock the door and set the alarm from security.com . We usually walk about two miles and sometime! s more if he pulls me off to a side street.

To be honest, I probably get as much enjoyment out of the walk as he does, I just don't realize I need the opportunity for some fresh air and exercise. He has a pretty full coat, so the evening works well for him for our walks since the sun doesn't beat down on him too much. I'd wear nothing but short sleeves if my office dress code allowed it, so I prefer the cool evenings as well. Walking with Smudge is a great way to let the stress of the day go, and spend some time with my buddy.

Lessons I Learned

For all the challenges and happiness that I experienced in life, I learned something from it and from what I learned it will help me whatever the challenges the future brings for me.

So I learned that :

1. When you got in to a tough place,and everything turn against you, and it seems as though you cannot hold on a minute longer, never give up then because that is just the place and time that the tide will turn. ..which is really true happened to me a lot of times..

2. Best friends best enemies? maybe it happens but it's not forever. Sometimes we tend to open everything to our best friends, even our darkest side , because we think our secrets are safe with them, but to our dismay they are tempted to gossip about it, we hate them like we never hate before. ..but it will be just temporary, ..in time you will no longer feel the pain and it's just like nothing happened...that's because of the magic of true friendship.

3. Age doesn't matter..size does..of the wallet..just kidding..4. You don't really need to wait for your destiny, sometimes you need to make the first move for that destiny to happen..ha

5. Teach people to treat you nicely. They will do what you tolerate. Learn how to say NO. Sometimes people will tease you below the belt, if you tolerate it, they would think it's okay. Even if it's just plain common sense, but promise there's a lot of insensitive people around.

6.Never borrow money if y0u don't have plans of paying it.

7. Money can't buy happiness , it can fix problem..TEMPORARILY..

8. Payback is a bitch, so don't screw me!..joke I don't revenge

9.If you don't have something nice to say, just shut up!

10. A simple "I'm sorry" is all I need but if you're making excuses, you ruined it..

11. Forgiving is easy, it's forgetting that's hard.

13. A successful marriage requires falling in love many times but only with the same person.

Eastern Red Cedar Bedroom Collection

It's a nice day! I chatted with my sister yesterday and I'm happy because she's going to buy some stuffs for me from the USA. I wish they'll be able to visit us again. Right now, they're saving money to buy their dream house. Her husband want to have a classic look in their house that's why they're using log furniture. My sister found a nice collection of these kind of furniture at Scenic Furniture. They carry different kinds of handcrafted furniture made from the best woods the nature can offer. One of my most favorites is the Eastern Red Cedar Bedroom Collection. It consists of a King size bed which has two cross rails on both head and foot board. The pieces are stunning that will give you a lot of compliments once you have this kind of collection in your house.

Time Management

Why time flies so fast?I don't like it anymore:-(. Today is Holy Friday so I'm just taking things slow. I didn't watch ABS CBN. Instead I', staying with my kids all the time, then I noticed that if I don't leave them alone by themselves for a long time, they make lesser mess because I 'm able to stop whatever mess they started and have them pick them right away. When I'm so occupied in watching my ABS CBN shows, I didn't realized I leave them by themselves for over an hour already. Boy, I can't describe how much mess they made, enough to give me stress for the whole day. Now I change my routine, and I'm happy. It's only 10AM, no mess at all. The kitchen is clean, no cherrios in the living room. Right now, they're playing in their bedroom, so I just let them play there for 30 minutes and I'll check on them.

Goodies from Abroad

Me and happy family are so happy because we received the package that my sister sent us. She's in California right now with her loving family.She has gifts for all of us. She gave me t-shirts from Old Navy, shoes and vitamins. She gave us jewelries, canned foods, candies, lotions, perfumes and many more. I love the perfumes that she sent us. Most of them are from the Victoria Secret. Even though I can't used them but I'm still glad because I can give it my girlfriend. My sister promised to give me a perfume from Hugo Boss. I love the scent of it. It's not that strong.I will also ask a perfume from Calvin Klein the next time she will send us a package. I will visit Scent.net, to look around for perfumes that she might wanna buy for me:-)

It's Been Awhile

It's been a long time since I updated my blog. I'm just so busy at work that I don't have much time to spend online. I'm glad that I'm back now. I hope I can keep up. I'm really sorry for not having visited my fellow blogger. I will do my best to visit you guys.
